The Yachana Lodge in Ecuador’s Amazon Region
Sustainable Development in Ecotourism at the Base of the Socioeconomic Pyramid
The International Seminar hosted at the Yachana Lodge on Ecuador’s Napo River will offer its participants an inside look at the award-winning work of Funedesin, a non-profit foundation whose goal is the protection of the rainforest through the education and empowerment of its people. Participants will witness firsthand how Funedesin's integrated and sustainable development programs are helping local inhabitants while conserving the environment. Tours, lectures and discussions will bring this seminar together while participants experience the lodge as a “place to understand; a place to discover; a place of tranquility; and a place of learning.” Learn more about the Yachana Lodge and Funedesin at www.yachana.com.
