Congratulations to the winners of the Summer 2009 Bridge the World Photo contest!  Entries were judged on the following areas: adherence to the guidelines and theme, creativity, composition and quality of image.

"Amazon Kids." BCA student Nick Reiter shows some local children a picture that he had just taken of them. The picture was taken during the BCA excursion to the Yachana Lodge in the Amazon rainforest.

"Bonding with the Children of the Amazon."  Abigail was in the Amazon helping the doctors vaccinate children for measles, mumps, and polio during National Vaccination Week in Ecuador.  The children of this Amazonian village (near Coca) were such sweethearts!!  Believe it or not, but this picture was taken after she helped stick needles in their arms!!

"Visiting Chairman Mao."   No trip to China would be complete without visiting one of the most infamous public squares in modern memory - Tiananmen Square.  Chairman Mao oversaw the Tiananmen Square Massacre of 1989 and continues to witness the unprecedented economic boom that followed.
