I will never forget the months from July to January in Xalapa with new friends and Robert Kruger. From day one I felt safe and at home. Even today, our group keeps in touch, checking in on one another like family :). I found BCA to be so helpful and Rob to be one of the best teachers I've ever had the privilege of learning from. Being in Xalapa with an incredible anthropologist like Rob was such an amazing experience and there was never a ruin or church without a mystery or some insight to its history from Rob. I looked forward to all our trips and travels during my time and I can't believe how much we were able to pack in!! I left feeling full of new information and perspective, confident in traveling and in the language and my ability to immerse myself in the lives of my neighbors. There was never a dull moment but constant support and encouragement. I can't thank BCA enough for the amazing opportunity they have given all of us. Thank you so much!
