Student Life

You will spend much of your time interacting with locals through your coursework at the College of the Fisheries and with community groups. 

Housing & Meals

You will live in guest houses not far from the administrative center of the College of the Fisheries. There are separate guest houses for males and females and kitchen facilities are available if students would like to cook. BCA will provide a monthly meal stipend. The guest houses, and the campus, are located far from central Mangalore and you will have to take a taxi to move to and from each location.

Fast Facts

  • 200 male students and 25 female students enroll every year
  • The library has 14,000 books, 5,800 periodicals as well as a collection of theses, pamphlets, technical reports and 50 international journals. 
  • There is a sports and exercise facility where students may participate in club activities, such as badminton, volleyball, track, and basketball.
  • A computer center houses 25 computers.
