Unique Opportunity

• Gain an in-depth view of India’s culture through service at a variety of Mangalore community organizations.
• Work 6 credit hours or 14 hours per week in a placement of your choice. Select from children’s rights, women’s rights, farmers, organic food producers and others as part of BCA’s Mangalore social work program located at the Roshni Nilaya School of Social Work.

Roshni Nilaya School of Social Work

• Roshni Nilaya has highest accreditation in India and is affiliated with Mangalore University.
• Total student enrollment is about 430 students.
• Computer lab with nearly 40 computers.
• Classrooms hold up to 30 students and provide an excellent and intimate environment for group work and teacher-student interaction.

Excursions and Activities

• Visit Kadri Manjunath Temple dating back to about 1068 A.D., Mangaladevi Temple from which the city’s name is derived, and the Sultan Battery built in black stones by Tippu Sulthan to prevent warships from entering the Gurpur River.

Extra Educational Opportunities
