| Academic Program | IKI Wien: July 4 - September 24, 2010. Students transfer from Vienna to Marburg with BCA Resident Director on Friday, September 24, 2010. University Wintersemester: October 18, 2010 - February 18, 2011. Compact Wintersemester ends as arranged by student, but no sooner than December 23, 2010. University Sommersemester: April 11 to July 15, 2011. |

| Examinations | Most examinations fall at the end of the semester. Dates vary by course. |

| Health Insurance | Students will need to pay in cash for any medical treatment received on-site in Vienna and subsequently request reimbursement from their health insurance provider in the U.S. Students must maintain full coverage through U.S. medical insurance policy to be adequately covered when the German policy is not in force. During the Philipps University academic semester (actually starting April 1st for spring semester and October 1st for fall semester), BCA students are covered fully through a German health insurance policy. |
| Vaccinations | None required. |
| Residency Permit / Student Visa | Not required of U.S. citizens in advance; done in Marburg. Citizens of most other countries must obtain visa prior to entry. |
| Advance luggage | Not recommended. Parcels may be sent in advance by parcel post to address below. |
| Local transportation | In Vienna: students will need to purchase a monthly public transportation pass. Priced at 50€ for the month, it is worth every cent! Vienna has one of the world's best public transportation systems. For Marburg: within a few days of arrival, public transporation within the state of Hesse is free with your Uni Marburg student i.d./Semesterticket. |

| Student mailing address | Will be determined and announced by BCA Director as soon as available, usually 4 - 6 weeks prior to arrival at given site. Internet and E-mail access are available at Internet cafés throughout Vienna and in most dormitories in Vienna. Though BCA cannot guarantee Internet services, every effort is made to secure housing with Internet access via a personal notebook/laptop. Internet access in Marburg is available at University computer labs with Uni Marburg student i.d. and in some dormitories. As with Vienna, every effort is made to secure housing with Internet access via notebook/laptop. |
